Our client, a company in the **finance and accounting services industry** , is seeking an **Accounts Payable Specialist** to join their team. As an **Accounts Payable Specialist** , you will be part of the Accounting department supporting daily AP operations. The ideal candidate will have **strong analytical skills** , **adaptability to change** , and a **proactive, detail-oriented mindset** , which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** Accounts Payable Specialist
**Location:** Remote (Richmond, VA)
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST (20-minute unpaid lunch; flexibility discussed during interview)
**Time Type:** Full Time
**Worker Type:** Agency Temp
**What’s the Job?**
+ Process high-volume PO and Non-PO invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Enter invoices and credits into the Oracle AP module.
+ Perform GL coding and PO matching for both Non-PO and PO entries.
+ Contact vendors to resolve discrepancies and manage negative balances.
+ Support additional accounting or AP-related projects as assigned.
**What’s Needed?**
+ 2–3 years of experience handling high-volume invoice entry.
+ Background in accounting and familiarity with AP processes.
+ Proficiency with Excel (intermediate functions such as VLOOKUP).
+ Strong analytical and communication skills.
+ Self-starter attitude with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
