Accounting Sr Analyst Job ID 211656 Posted 24-Jun-2025 Service line Advisory Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Accounting/Finance Location(s) Richardson - Texas - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE Transaction Accounting Sr. Analyst, you will record and perform analysis of complex transactions; identify accounting issues; coordinate and implement resolutions; work successfully and efficiently in a team environment; mentor and coach Accountants; and provide accounting support to an Assistant Controller or Controller. This job is part of the General Accounting job function. They are responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of accounting processes and procedures. **What You’ll Do:** + Perform legal contract review; interpret complex business/legal contracts and documents, and apply GAAP for revenue recognition and compliance analysis. + Examine and analyze financial information such as balance sheets and monthly/quarterly operating results, when needed. + Prepare and/or review a variety of routine and ad hoc financial reports for management and other internal customers. + Prepare monthly recurring journal entries and adjusting journal entries, as needed. + Review, document and develop as necessary operating procedures and internal control processes. Analyze current processes for added value and improved efficiency. + Interface with other departments to gather information and to review and resolve outstanding accounting issues to ensure proper accounting. Recognize and analyze potential issues and/or conflicts and recommend corrective action to minimize issues. + Respond to routine and non-routine inquires from field offices, other departments and colleagues. + Research open accounts receivable and perform due diligence in conjunction with field and Accountant to clear old balances. Assist Accountant with unidentified cash receipts when needed. + Review Data Integrity of commissionable transactional documentation in comparison to internal statistics and reporting. + Work in unison with Accountants to accomplish a series of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks. + Evaluate and adhere to internal accounting policies and procedures. + Lead and coordinate special projects as assigned. + Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems. + Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset. + Advanced math skills.
