Job Description:
The College of Medicine Dean’s Office Finance and Administration seeks anAccounting Specialistto help drive key financial operations for the Florida Clinical Practice Association (FCPA). Reporting to the Associate Director of Accounting, this dynamic role offers the opportunity to lead a variety of impactful accounting functions—including managing disbursements, overseeing cash flow and fixed assets, coordinating insurance coverage, and serving as the primary liaison for AP-related activities with TD Bank. You’ll also take the lead on tracking real property leases, invoicing Shands 1/12th contracts, and reconciling payable contracts.

About This Role
Florida Clinical Practice Association (FCPA) Accounting
+ Ensure timely and accurate processing of all FCPA disbursements.
+ Maintain detailed records to support audits and financial reporting.
+ Manage and maintain a current, accurate inventory of FCPA fixed assets.
+ Evaluate and coordinate annual insurance coverage needs for FCPA, securing appropriate policies as necessary.
College of Medicine (COM) Cash Management
+ Oversee bi-weekly cash management processes, monitoring cash balances and liquidity.
+ Provide accurate reporting and analysis to support financial decision-making.
Contract Invoicing and Reconciliation
+ Generate and submit invoices for Shands 1/12th contracts in alignment with contractual terms.
+ Verify invoice data for accuracy and monitor payment status.
+ Conduct regular reconciliations of payable contracts, document procedures, and communicate results to stakeholders.
TD Bank Liaison
+ Act as the primary contact for accounts payable interactions with TD Bank.
+ Address inquiries and resolve issues related to AP transactions promptly and professionally.
Real Property Lease Management
+ Maintain an up-to-date database of real property leases associated with the College of Medicine.
+ Monitor lease terms and key dates, providing updates and insights to inform decision-making.
Expected Salary:
$54,000 - $58,000; commensurate with education and experience
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Knowledge of office procedures and practices
+ Knowledge of and ability to create, review, post and balance fiscal records
+ Good written and verbal communications skills (essential)
