Job Description
The Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Associate plays an important role within the organization’s Finance team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions. This position is primarily dedicated to accounts receivable functions, including the precise application of customer payments, resolution of payment issues, and maintenance of clean, reliable receivable records. The role also provides secondary support to accounts payable operations as needed. This individual contributes to timely financial reporting, proper general ledger activity, and adherence to internal controls related to cash handling, receipts, and disbursements.
Responsibilities
Accurately apply customer payments to accounts within Nexsure in a timely manner.Process and deposit mailed checks, ensuring all documentation and posting steps are completed.Prepare and send daily Positive Pay reports to Treasury for checks issued the previous business day.Manage EPAY batch processing, coordinating with Collections and Finance teams, and post receipts in Nexsure.Track outstanding checks older than 30 days and follow up as necessary.Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and related issues.Record direct bill commission payments received from carriers.Communicate with carriers to obtain missing or delayed commission statements.Generate and download commission statements for People and Retail Agents.Prepare and mail commission checks for retail agents.Work with retail agents to collect required banking details and W9 forms.Provide support for accounts payable processing during peak periods or as backup coverage.Essential Skills
High School Diploma required; Associate degree in Business or related field preferred.2–4 years of Accounts Payable and Receivable experience.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Nexsure or AMS360.Insurance/Agency Billing experience.Ability to navigate through ExcelJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Neenah, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
