Job Description
The Accounting Representative will manage travel reimbursements and accounts payable processes. Responsibilities include preparing expense reports and invoices for payment, verifying receipts, and managing supplier and producer creation. The role requires familiarity with General Ledger account coding and involves preparing and entering invoice payment batches into Oracle, initiating check disbursements, and organizing check documentation for signatures. You will also be responsible for distributing completed checks, researching and resolving discrepancies, and preparing journal entries for accounts payable, including monthly and year-end accruals. Additionally, you will interact with various departments and stakeholders to address inquiries.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and enter customer invoices and maintain customer information.Print and distribute customer invoices.Code incoming payments to appropriate General Ledger accounts.Post member payments and support cashiers as needed.Maintain online supplier information and ensure compliance with 1099 regulations.Handle additional department-related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines.Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency.Capability to take direction from multiple supervisors and work under pressure.Excellent interpersonal skills with a high degree of patience and tact.Proficiency in PC applications and adaptability to learn new processes.Understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting members.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Oracle and General Ledger.Familiarity with month-end close procedures.Experience in AP/AR functions is preferred.Ability to work in a challenging environment with constructive feedback.Availability to work extended hours and travel as necessary.Work Environment
The role is based on-site in a well-appointed building in Beverly Hills, working alongside three other Accounting Representatives in a cubicle setup. Standard working hours are from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with the potential for a future hybrid work schedule. The position offers a 35-hour work week and, if permanent, includes excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401K, and pension plans. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.13 - $26.13/hr.
