Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee key financial operations while mentoring and guiding the accounting team to ensure organizational success. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to streamline processes, maintain compliance, and deliver accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Train and mentor accounting team members, supporting their attention to detail and promoting a collaborative work environment. • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency. • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in construction accounting to deliver innovative solutions. • Oversee compliance checklists for trade partners, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and contractual requirements. • Prepare and review financial compliance reports, coordinating with external auditors as needed. • Manage accurate data entry and reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions within accounting systems. • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial reconciliations. • Develop and present accounts payable aging reports, cash flow projections, and other relevant financial metrics. • Act as a liaison between accounting, operations, and project management teams to address financial inquiries and optimize processes. • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on company financial performance and compliance status. Requirements • Proven experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management. • Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and audits. • Strong skills in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation. • Familiarity with accounting systems such as Sage or similar software. • Ability to lead and mentor teams effectively while fostering a positive work culture. • Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate across departments. • Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations in the construction industry. • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements within financial workflows.
