Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and optimize our Royalties accounting operations in New York, New York. This key leadership role involves driving process improvements, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and delivering accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will oversee a team of two accounting managers while collaborating closely with cross-functional departments to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the Royalties accounting team • Develop and implement accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency. • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements across royalties and subrights. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and support financial reporting needs. • Oversee month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement audits. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within accounting systems and workflows. • Provide expertise in royalties accounting, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all related functions. • Act as a key liaison with leadership to align accounting strategies with organizational goals. • Monitor and resolve complex accounting issues within entertainment industry Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with expertise in rights & royalties accounting. • Proven background in entertainment • Strong proficiency in SAP or equivalent systems. • Advanced Excel skills for managing and interpreting large, complex data sets. • Leadership experience managing teams and collaborating across departments.
