**Position Summary**
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of real estate investment vehicles in France. This role requires a strong understanding of French accounting principles and tax regulations, coupled with robust leadership and analytical skills. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data, supporting strategic decision-making and compliance with local standards
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with French GAAP, IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
+ Ensure compliance with French accounting standards, tax obligations, and regulatory requirements specific to real estate investments.
+ Coordinate and lead internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and implementing recommendations.
+ Ensure timely and accurate filing of all French tax declarations (VAT, corporate income tax, property taxes, etc.).
+ Develop, monitor, and improve internal controls and accounting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and standardization within the accounting function.
+ Potentially provide formal supervision, training, and development to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Property Management, Asset Management, Treasury and Tax departments, to support business operations and strategic decision-making.
+ Assist in special projects, including new system implementations, process automation, and integration of acquisitions.
**Qualifications**
+ Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, with significant experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
+ Strong technical expertise in French accounting standards (French GAAP/PCG) and French tax regulations.
+ Proficiency in IFRS is highly desirable.
+ Experience in the real estate sector is a significant plus, including knowledge of property accounting and specific tax considerations.
+ Experience with OPCI (Organisme de Placement Collectif Immobilier) structures or similar real estate collective investment undertakings is a plus.
+ Demonstrated experience with leading ERP/accounting systems (e.g., YARDI) and strong Excel skills.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and develop a large team.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
