Job Title: Accounting Manager
Job Description

As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including the general ledger. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves ensuring timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, as well as developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes.Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.Assist in budgeting and forecasting efforts to improve financial systems and processes.Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.Review the work of accountants and assist with month-end and year-end accounting tasks.Prepare journal entries and financial statements, including balance sheets.Essential SkillsGeneral ledger managementReconciliationMonth-end closingKnowledge of GAAP and financial regulationsProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA or CMA certification preferredMinimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the financial services industryAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWork Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
