Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager with robust experience in Big 4 accounting firms and a solid background in manufacturing cost accounting. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in inventory SOX controls and be adept at preparing and analyzing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. A hands-on approach to accounting, including performing data entries and transactional tasks, is essential.
ResponsibilitiesOversee and gather quarterly data for SOX controls.Support inventory accounting for affiliates.Review work performed by outsourced resources.Analyze, prepare, book entries, and reconcile inventory-related transactions.Perform and review monthly accounting close activities, including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.Collaborate with manufacturing sites to understand and analyze manufacturing variances and volume forecasts.Consolidate and report site inventory balances by product/site and perform detailed monthly variance analysis.Participate in the annual standard costing process and manage ad hoc updates for distribution sites.Exercise sound judgment and initiative in handling quarterly SOX process certification.Prepare and review audit schedules, ensuring audit readiness and compliance.Identify opportunities to streamline assigned processes and cross-train with peers.Collaborate with stakeholders to determine and implement continuous improvement opportunities.Manage special projects requiring Global Accounting representation.Lead and manage the outsourced provider team to ensure timely completion of accounting tasks.Essential SkillsExperience in Big 4 accounting firms.Manufacturing cost accounting experience.Expertise in inventory SOX controls.Preparation and analysis of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.Additional Skills & QualificationsDoctorate degree or Master's degree with 2 years of experience.Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience.Associate degree with 10 years of experience.High school diploma/GED with 12 years of experience.Work Environment
This role offers remote work with first shift hours. Candidates must be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and engaging closely with the team. There is potential for contract extension, and permanent positions may be offered to exemplary performers.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $84.00/hr.
