Overview Join our team at the Philadelphia Cambria right on Broad Street in the heart of the city! The Accounting Manager is responsible for providing consistent leadership in the financial area of the hotel by supplying management with guidance and training. Responsible for focusing on the profitability of the business, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring acceptable levels on internal control, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and safeguarding owners/investors assets. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manages receivables, payables, credit, payroll and cash handling functions with the accounting department. Prepares financial analysis of hotel operations including variance explanation and makes recommendations to the achievement of financial goals/targets. Lead financial control procedures and systems; ensures compliance to “Internal Control Checkup”; maintains documents for audits of hotel accounts; ensures compliance with government regulations and contractual agreements. Directs preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and reporting. Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction. Qualifications Experience in a similar role Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
