Our client, a well‑established, industry‑leading organization, is seeking an **Accounting Director** to join their team. In this high‑impact role, you will be part of the Finance department supporting Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Executive Leadership teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to drive continuous process improvements.
**Job Title: Accounting Director**
**Job Type** : Contract to Hire
**Location:** Hybrid – Greenwood Village, CO
**Pay Rate:** $85-105/hour (W2, based on experience)
**What’s the Job?**
+ Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close activities and lead the preparation of internal financial reports, cash flow statements, and external financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.
+ Direct core accounting operations, strengthen internal controls and accounting policies, and drive continuous improvements across accounting processes, systems, and reporting capabilities in collaboration with cross‑functional partners.
+ Partner cross‑functionally with FP&A, IT, and senior leadership to support forecasting, budgeting, ERP enhancements, and informed business decision‑making.
+ Provide subject matter expertise on technical accounting matters and prepare or review technical accounting memoranda and supporting documentation.
+ Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to accounting team members while fostering accountability and professional development.
**What’s Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 12 years of related accounting and financial reporting experience.
+ CPA certification with a blend of public accounting experience (Big Four or national firm) and industry accounting experience is preferred.
+ Demonstrated expertise in U.S. GAAP, internal control frameworks, and technical accounting standards.
+ Proven ability to lead accounting teams and partner effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders in complex organizations.
