This role is a key contributor within our accounting team, positioned between Senior Accountant and Manager level, the role demands a strong technical foundation and the ability to step back from transactional detail to provide informed judgement on complex financial matters.

We are looking for a highly capable professional who can interpret and challenge financial information, make sound decisions, and take a holistic view of accounting processes. The successful candidate will contribute to strategic financial decisions and drive continuous improvement across the function.

Primary Responsibilities: 

Prepare legal entity financial statements in accordance with FRS 101 and US GAAP and contribute expertise in preparing consolidated financial statements under full IFRS and Irish Company LawSupport statutory audit, compliance and regulatory reporting requirementsMaintain an internal control structure and procedures for financial reportingCreate, document, review and approve journal entries (e.g., journal upload, general ledger queries)Prepare, review and approve account reconciliationsProactively analyse financial data to identify and address potential accounting issues on an ongoing basis, ensuring compliance with US and International GAAPSolve complex accounting problems and develop innovative solutions when resolving issuesDemonstrate understanding of intercompany relationships and organizational structures (e.g., segments, legal entities) required to record both intercompany and intersegment transactionsDefine, develop and improve business and accounting processes, leveraging latest technology to automate and digitalize processesPerform financial variance analysis and provide explanations (period-over-period actuals) for Income statement, Balance sheet and Cash flow projectionsDemonstrate proficiency in financial systems, including PeopleSoft, Workiva, and Blackline, to support efficient and effective accounting operationsAnticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet themPartner with peers in other finance teams to streamline processes and implement best practice across geographies

Required Qualifications: 

Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA)Big 4 / multi-national / multi-currency experienceSolid technical expertise in financial statement preparation under multiple GAAPs (US GAAP, IFRS, FRS 101)Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standardsDemonstrated advanced analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve accounting issues proactivelyDemonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and stakeholder engagement
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements under full IFRSSolid working knowledge of enterprise financial systems including PeopleSoft Financials and WorkivaAdvanced proficiency with Excel and related add-in tools (e.g., SmartView, Essbase)
