We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Clerk for our purchasing department to manage a variety of accounting tasks, including matching, batching, coding, and entering invoices. The role involves working under the direction of the Accounts Payable Coordinator to research, coordinate, and resolve accounts payable issues with vendors. Additionally, the position requires performing regular check runs, reviewing aging reports, and participating in month-end duties and annual financial audits.
Responsibilities
Match, batch, code, and enter invoices into the system.Research, coordinate, and resolve accounts payable issues with vendors under the direction of the A/P Coordinator.Perform weekly or as-needed check runs.Review aging reports to identify invoices due in 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days.Carry out month-end duties.Participate in the preparation of annual financial and other audits.Assist accountants with journal entry preparation and documentation.Serve as backup for other accounting functions.Promote the Vision, Mission, and Values of the Organization.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills
Proficiency in accounting practices, including journal entry preparation.Experience in accounts payable and general accounting.Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.Ability to type 25+ wpm and perform filing tasks.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.1 year experience in an Accounting or Finance setting preferred.Experience with computerized accounting and medical or dental billing systems preferred.Knowledge of healthcare accounting and finance is an advantage.Valid California Driver's license, proof of insurance, and personal transportation required.Experience in Federally Qualified Health Center or similar setting preferred.Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.Knowledge of clinic operations is preferred.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.45 - $21.45/hr.
