Accounting Clerk

Our client, a dynamic organization in the utility sector, is seeking a Temporary Accounting Clerk for a 3-4 week project. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be part of the finance department supporting various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Accounting Clerk
**Location:** Cape Girardeau, MO
**Pay Range:** $15.00 – $17.00/hr
**What's the Job?**
+ Review and reconcile general ledger entries.
+ Match debit and credit transactions against bank deposits and payments.
+ Work with cash accounts and banking data to identify and correct reconciliation errors.
+ Use Microsoft Excel to track and manage data.
+ Assist with manually correcting errors from a prior system migration.
**What's Needed?**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Solid understanding of accounting principles, specifically debit and credit functions.
+ Strong Excel skills.
+ High attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Ability to work independently.
