Accounting Associate
Job Title: Accounting AssociateJob Description

Assist the team with project budgeting, invoicing, and monthly status reports. Responsible for project coordination, handling all project document control, developing and tracking decision logs, and creating and processing all action items. Assist with processing accounts payable, overhead expenses, general ledger accounting, coding in the general ledger, data entry in the general ledger, assisting with project setup, budgeting, invoicing, reading and assessing contracts, purchase orders, Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups), reporting, time management, submitting purchase requisitions, and labor adjustments.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate projects and handle document control.Develop and track decision logs.Create and process action items.Assist with accounts payable and overhead expenses.Participate in general ledger accounting and data entry.Assist with project setup, budgeting, and invoicing.Read and assess contracts and purchase orders.Utilize Excel for pivot tables, spreadsheet creation, and formula understanding.Submit purchase requisitions and manage labor adjustments.Essential Skills2+ years of project accounting and project billing experience.Proficiency in project accounting, project billing, and cost management.Familiarity with Oracle.Strong knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.Experience with GAAP, direct/indirect labor, billing, job costing, and project life cycle.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the construction, engineering, environmental, or architecture industry is preferred.Experience in a mid to large-sized accounting and finance group is required.Knowledge of economics is advantageous.Work Environment

Professional work environment in a modern office in Tampa. The team consists of five accountants. This position offers a hybrid work model after completing on-site training, which is fully conducted during the contract period. The role provides good pay raises once candidates become permanent employees, although it offers limited upward mobility, focusing more on stability.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.93/hr.
