Accounting Associate
Job Overview We are seeking an Accounting Associate to support project accounting functions, including budgeting, invoicing, and reporting. This role involves coordinating projects, managing document control, and assisting with accounts payable and general ledger activities. Key Responsibilities + Assist with project budgeting, invoicing, and monthly status reports. + Coordinate projects and maintain document control. + Develop and track decision logs; create and process action items. + Process accounts payable, overhead expenses, and general ledger entries. + Perform coding and data entry in the general ledger. + Support project setup, contract assessment, and labor adjustments. + Utilize Excel for pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and reporting. + Submit purchase requisitions and manage related documentation. Qualifications + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. + Experience: Prior experience in construction, engineering, environmental, or architecture industries is a plus. + Skills: Knowledge of GAAP, job costing, billing, and project life cycle. + Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Work Environment + Modern office setting in Tampa, FL. + Initial training on-site during the contract period; hybrid schedule after training. + Opportunity for pay increases upon permanent conversion. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.93/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
