Accounting Assistant
Job Title: Accounting Assistant Job Description We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in a remote capacity. This position is perfect for individuals with a foundational understanding of accounting concepts who are eager to contribute to our audit preparation efforts over the next four months. Responsibilities + Gather and organize documentation required for four upcoming audits, including SOC 1 and ICFIR. + Collect samples requested by auditors and ensure accuracy and completeness. + Run queries to support documentation needs. + Identify relevant accounting documents by understanding concepts like journals, debits, and credits. + Zip and submit organized files to auditors. + Collaborate closely with the Audit and Accounting Manager, who will guide and review all materials before submission. Essential Skills + Basic accounting knowledge, including understanding of journals, debits, and credits. + Experience with Excel databases. + 2 to 4 years of solid accounting experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Understanding of audit processes is advantageous. + Basic Excel skills are essential. Work Environment This is a remote position, ideally suited for those in the Central Standard Time zone, though candidates from the Pacific Standard Time zone may also be considered. The role involves close collaboration with an Audit and Accounting Manager, providing an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Portland, Oregon. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
