**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Accounting Analyst (Lease Accounting), you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording of lease-related transactions, maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards, and providing detailed financial reports and analysis.
An Accounting Analyst (Lease Accountant) plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of lease agreements within an organization.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Prepare and post journal entries for lease transactions and adjustments.
+ Maintain and update lease accounting system for new, modified, or terminated leases.
+ Reconcile lease-related accounts monthly, including operating lease liabilities and right-of-use assets.
+ Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors on lease accounting inquiries and audits.
+ Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures for lease accounts.
+ Monitor and report on lease obligations for compliance with contract terms and policies.
+ Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures for leased assets and liabilities.
+ Analyze financial impacts of lease modifications, terminations, and renewals.
+ Review and validate lease payment schedules; coordinate with Accounts Payable for disbursements.
+ Support budgeting and forecasting with detailed lease-related financial data.
+ Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Communicate with landlords, property managers, and stakeholders to resolve lease issues.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
+ Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
+ Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
+ Willing to work night shift
