Responsibilities:
Daily Bookkeeping: Perform data entry and reconciliation for the General Fund, Special Revenue Fund, Capital Projects Fund, and Debt Service Fund.
Audit Support: Assist in internal auditing processes to ensure all Expenditures and Grants are documented according to Yellow Book standards.
Financial Tracking: Monitor Near-Term Inflows and Outflows to maintain healthy cash flow and budget compliance.
Account Reconciliation: Balance Enterprise Accounts and other Proprietary Funds, ensuring the transition between different accounting bases is accurate.
Fiduciary Oversight: Maintain records for Fiduciary Funds, ensuring assets held in trust are managed with high precision.
System Management: Use Tyler Technologies or Edmunds software to process financial transactions and pull reports for department heads.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Bookkeeping Mastery: Strong experience in double-entry bookkeeping and reconciling complex Governmental Funds.
Regulatory Literacy: A solid understanding of GASB and GAAP as they apply to local government.
Accrual Accounting: Ability to work comfortably with Modified Accrual (for government funds) and Full Accrual (for proprietary funds).
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in tracking Expenditures and managing restricted Grants.
Audit Familiarity: Basic knowledge of Yellow Book compliance to ensure files are organized for annual external reviews.
