About This Opportunity

As a Senior Staff member of the Finance & Accounting Department, you will be responsible for core operational tasks such as journal entries, monthly and annual closing, tax support, and cash flow management. This position requires hands-on involvement in operations while demonstrating leadership by coordinating with other team members and managing task allocation and progress.


Responsibilities

Execute daily accounting operations:Journal entries, accounts receivable/payable management, invoice and payment notice issuanceReconciliation of sales performance and other dataLead monthly and annual closing operations (shared responsibilities with other members)Support for accounting audits and tax investigations (document preparation and liaison)Assist with tax filing (including communication with tax advisors)Prepare cash flow statements, manage payments and receipts, and handle banking mattersEnsure compliance with accounting-related laws and regulations (information gathering, system updates, etc.)Operate accounting and expense reimbursement systems and propose operational improvementsLead task allocation, progress checks, and respond to questions from other membersRespond to inquiries from other departments
Qualifications

Over 10 years of practical experience in accounting and financeExperience in monthly and annual closing operations (as a lead)Experience leading tasks within a team (not necessarily in a formal managerial role)Experience using accounting software (e.g., Kanjo Bugyo, freee, SAP)Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, IF, Pivot Tables, Power Query, etc.)Comfortable with reading and writing in EnglishPreferredExperience in accounting audits and tax investigationsExperience in tax filingExperience in standardizing and streamlining accounting operationsQualifications such as Nissho Bookkeeping Level 2 or higher, CPA, or Tax Accountant (or partial certification)Experience using Access in business operationsDesired TraitsAble to maintain stable accounting operations while adapting flexibly to changesFinds fulfillment in performing practical tasks on the groundValues both accuracy and speed, and performs tasks with a sense of responsibilityAble to resolve doubts and grow through understandingCollaborates with the team and supports others when neededProactively identifies operational issues and works on improvements
