We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant II to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, including posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
ResponsibilitiesPost journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.Manage lockbox processing and ensure timely application of cash receipts.Calculate and process broker commissions and royalty payments in accordance with contractual agreements.Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.Assist with capital accounting for projects and ensure compliance with capitalization policies.Support month-end and year-end close processes, including account analysis and variance explanations.Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve accounting issues.Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist with audits as needed.Essential SkillsProficiency in accounting, general ledger management, and reconciliation.Experience with month-end processes and journal entries.Strong financial statement and bank reconciliation skills.Knowledge of JDE World and related accounting software.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in GL accounting, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.Experience with JDE is an added advantage.Work EnvironmentThe position offers a hybrid work environment with the team in the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
