Accountant Credit & Collections
• Manage collections for NA customers by following up on overdue invoices and resolving payment or invoice queries. • Post and allocate daily cash across multiple ERP systems and reconcile customer accounts, addressing discrepancies promptly. • Monitor and manage general email inquiries and phone calls related to credit and collections from multiple Operating Companies (OPCOs), ensuring timely and accurate responses. • Respond to credit and collections inquiries from Operating Companies (OPCOs) and support standardization of communication and best practices. • Assist in evaluating the creditworthiness of customers by reviewing credit applications and financial documentation. • Conduct basic credit checks and gather relevant customer information. • Maintain records of credit assessments and approvals. • Communicate with customers via phone, email, or letters to remind them of due or overdue payments. • Address customer queries related to invoices and payments courteously and promptly. • Escalate delinquent accounts when needed and maintain accurate records of credit assessments and interactions. • Participate in regular team meetings, distribute month-end statements, and support month-end close activities. • Adhere to company policies, credit guidelines, and regulatory requirements. • Drive collection effectiveness and operational efficiency to main consistency in KPIs • Support dispute resolution by coordinating with internal teams to clear obstacles preventing payment. • Maintain strong customer relationships through professional, timely communication. • Assist in audit requests by providing necessary documentation and account details. • Identify trends in customer payment behaviour and recommend actions to reduce future delinquencies. Essential • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field. • Background in credit control essential with at least 2 years of relevant experience • Basic understanding of credit and collections processes. • Working knowledge of MS Excel, including basic formulas, sorting, and filtering. • Good communication skills in English, written and spoken • Familiarity with general office tools (email, phone handling) and willingness to learn credit management systems. • Basic analytical and critical thinking skills along with attention to detail. • Experience working in a multinational organization and partnering with resources across countries to meet stretch targets • Demonstrated experience processing high volume transactions in a complex multi-country/ERP environment • Ability to build strong trusted relationships through high “say/do” ratio and effective partnership • Strong time management and prioritization skills with ability to coordinate with others for alignment as necessary • Adaptable and able to reprioritize to respond to business needs in a fast-paced environment. • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
