We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team in Prince George, BC. Responsibilities + Manage the full accounting cycle for one or more corporate entities. + Prepare and process accounts receivable invoices (inter-company and third-party billings) + Monitor AR activity and resolve discrepancies. + Accounts payable; including data entry, supplier reconciliations, and payment processing. + Complete bank and credit card reconciliations, supplier account reconciliations, and inter-company account reconciliations. + Maintain and track fixed assets; calculate and record amortization and depreciation. + Prepare and file GST, PST, payroll, and other tax remittances accurately and on time. + Process bi-weekly payroll. + Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes including financial reporting. + Prepare year-end working papers for internal review and coordinate with external accountants to ensure timely completion of annual financial statements. + Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis to support job estimating and project tracking. + Provide general office administration and reception support as required. Qualifications + Minimum 5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience. + Experience in construction, forestry, or industrial services preferred. + Post-secondary accounting education; CPA, CGA, or CA designation is an asset but not required. + Strong working knowledge of Sage Accounting software, Excel, and Office 365. + Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities. + Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with team members across departments as needed.
