This highly motivated individual contributor will provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis. **What You Will Do:** + Maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards. + Creating reports on financial performance, presenting to management and providing insightful analysis for internal use. + Upon request, take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests. + Adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP. + Perform monthly Material cost analysis. + Prepare Quarterly Cost Monitoring. + Support Normals rate development and abnormals reporting. + Lead Standard cost setting and analysis. **What You Have:** + **Education/Experience:** This position typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business related degree and **3** + years of job related experience. + **Accuracy and Attention to Detail:** Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. + **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. + **Financial Analysis:** Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. + **Financial Reporting:** Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports. **What Will Set You Apart:** + Strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and interpersonal skills + Initiative, good judgement and accountability + Ability to resolve issues independently and take ownership of responsibilities + Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Axiom **Additional Details** : + Location: Seguin, TX + Less than 10% travel ​ **About Caterpillar** For more than a century, Caterpillar has helped build a better, more sustainable world.
