Description

This Accountant role supports the evolution of the accounting function from a transactional model to a principle-based, high-integrity operation by owning balance sheet accounts, reconciliations, and close activities end to end. The role is responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining GAAP-compliant records, analyzing variances and accruals, and ensuring audit-ready documentation while proactively identifying and resolving reconciliation risks. The accountant will collaborate cross-functionally to improve data flow, clarify ownership, and strengthen controls, while also identifying process improvements that enhance scalability in a cost-conscious environment. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a growing, evolving organization.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $60.00/hr.
