Job Title: AccountantJob Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the month-end general ledger and internal reporting processes, as well as overseeing fixed asset accounting activities for our subsidiaries.

ResponsibilitiesParticipate actively in the month-end general ledger and internal reporting processes, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.Manage fixed asset accounting activities for subsidiaries, including asset creation, cost transfers, capitalized interest and taxes, depreciation, and retirements. Note that fixed asset accounting is performed manually.Create and monitor projects in SAP, ensuring timely placement of projects into service.Perform accounting for and reporting activities related to subsidiary fixed assets.Complete internal control procedures to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.Prepare annual accounting reports, including Annual Regulatory filings, account roll forwards, and audit requests.Provide support for both internal and external auditors.Essential Skills3 years of experience in accounting, particularly with journal entries and account reconciliations.Proficiency in SAP, including SAP S4 Hana.Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP.Experience with month-end close processes and fixed asset accounting.Additional Skills & QualificationsCapex experience.Knowledge of SOX compliance.CPA certification, either active or inactive.Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.Personable and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.High level of attention to detail.Excellent communication skills.Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work schedule with two days in the office on Tuesday and one flexible day, with the remaining three days working from home. The role requires flexibility, including working one day on the weekend and working past 5 PM during the close period.

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.07/hr.
