Job Description
This role is responsible for preparing month-end journal entries along with related reconciliations, reports, and analyses, primarily focused on accounts receivable, cash, and sales activities. The position performs Revenue Recognition testing, supports the implementation of control systems, and assists with internal control audits. It involves gathering and correlating accounting and financial data using established procedures, applying fundamental accounting concepts to routine matters, and ensuring the accuracy of journal entries, budgets, and account classifications. The role also conducts special studies, develops financial reports, and carries out assignments that support strong internal controls, effective departmental relationships, and continuous professional development. Additionally, the position provides key support during the month-end close process, including audit requests and quarterly SEC reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare month-end journal entries and related reconciliations, reports, and analyses.
+ Focus on accounts receivable, cash, and sales activities.
+ Perform Revenue Recognition testing.
+ Support implementation of control systems.
+ Assist with internal control audits.
+ Gather and correlate accounting and financial data using established procedures.
+ Apply fundamental accounting concepts to routine matters.
+ Ensure accuracy of journal entries, budgets, and account classifications.
+ Conduct special studies and develop financial reports.
+ Support strong internal controls and effective departmental relationships.
+ Provide key support during the month-end close process, including audit requests and quarterly SEC reporting requirements.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years as an accountant.
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
+ Experience with General Ledger.
+ Reconciliations expertise.
+ Month-end close responsibilities - 6-day close.
+ Proficiency in journal entries.
+ Understanding of accounting law.
+ Experience in the manufacturing industry, ideally defense-related.
+ Strong experience in Excel, Infor LN, Oracle ERP, Infor FSM, Accounts Receivable.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Infor LN.
+ Familiarity with Oracle ERP.
+ Knowledge of Infor FSM.
+ Accounts Receivable experience.
Work Environment
This is an all onsite role in an office environment with anticipated 40-hour work weeks. Annually, typically in April, availability is required for a half day of work on a Saturday. The role offers the opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment supplying primarily to the Air Force, providing the chance to wear multiple hats within accounting and develop skills in all facets

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
