This position is a key member of the water accounting team, responsible for collaborating with water subsidiaries and the parent company’s Financial Reporting and Consolidation teams. The role ensures the production of high-quality internal and external financial reports. The accountant will engage in various accounting functions, including preparing monthly journal entries, handling intercompany transactions, and performing monthly reconciliations.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with water subsidiaries and the parent company’s Financial Reporting and Consolidation teams.Prepare monthly journal entries and manage intercompany transactions.Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.Engage in year-end reconciliation processes.Utilize Excel for data analysis, including using Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.Participate actively in month-end close processes, handling 55-65 journal entries.Essential Skills2-3 years of accounting experience.Proficient in SAP, including SAP S4 Hana.Strong skills in Excel, particularly Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.Initiative and problem-solving capabilities.Personable and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.High attention to detail and effective communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with year-end reconciliation is a plus.Any additional SAP certifications or training.Advanced Excel skills are advantageous.Work EnvironmentThe position offers a hybrid work schedule, with two days in the office (including Tuesday) and one flexible day, while the remaining three days are work-from-home. The role may require working one day on the weekend and staying past 5 PM during the month-end close.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.07/hr.
