About This Opportunity
The Account Specialist role is a strong career‑building opportunity for recent graduates or early professionals interested in retail operations, consumer goods, ecommerce, fintech, and trade/consumer marketing. In this role, you will support major Canadian retailers and learn the core business processes behind product launches, merchandising execution, inventory management, and promotional planning.
As part of InComm’s National Retail Accounts team, you will work directly with key retail partners, supporting prepaid product programs, merchandising updates, and marketing initiatives. This role blends account support, operations coordination, and analytical reporting - offering exposure to a fast-paced, innovative, and continually evolving sector.
Responsibilities
Retail Execution & Merchandising
Execute internal and external processes for retail product launches, including new product listings, planogram updates, and inventory setup.Ensure flawless execution of weekly in‑store merchandising initiatives by reviewing field audits, tracking issues, and driving timely resolution.Coordinate store layout changes (openings and closings) and support the rollout of new fixtures.Design, update, and maintain store planograms.Support cyclical launches utilizing a third‑party merchandising partner to ensure on‑time execution across all retail locations.Operations
Manage store ownership changes and maintain key databases with accuracy.Contribute to continuous improvements in processes and documentation – For the implementation and maintenance of best practicesSales, Marketing & Reporting
Support strategic marketing initiatives and complete post‑promotion sales analysis and POP proof of execution.Provide reporting to merchants and internal teams to support program and promotional optimization.Stay informed on industry trends and advise how they can be integrated into sales, marketing, and retail strategies.General
Work cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Merchandising teams.Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required.Qualifications
University undergraduate degree.0–2+ years' experience in CPG, FMCG, corporate retail, distribution, marketing, or sales support (co‑op or internship experience considered).Knowledge of retail operations or trade marketing is an asset.Strong MS Excel, Pivot table and sales analysis and PowerPoint skills; Power BI is an asset.Proficient with all MS Office applications.French language skills are a plus.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally (approx. 5%).
