Account Service Representative

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

You'll be responsible for processing routine data entry and online input of transactions using a basic understanding of our products and processes. Your work will include balancing transactions and deposits from clients and branches, with a focus on throughput (how much you process), accuracy, and production. All of this work supports RBC's Code of Conduct, Values, and Guiding Principles while protecting customer privacy.

This is a great entry-level position to start your banking career and develop real operational skills.

What will you do?

Learn and apply basic knowledge of RBC's products and processes

Follow standard procedural guidelines to keep work organized and consistent

Process work volumes and maintain consistent service within established benchmarks—contributing to our business SLA/KPI (service level agreements and performance targets)

Work with your team to learn new cross-functional skills and grow in the role

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

Strong numeric keypad skills and computer knowledge

Attention to detail—accuracy matters, even when working fast

Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs

Comfort working toward daily targets and performance benchmarks

Ability to work well under pressure and stay focused in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

Retail or customer service experience (you're used to fast-paced, high-demand environments)

Experience handling cash

Working Conditions

​Standing or sitting 90% of the time

6-week full-time training period. Following training, hours can build toward full-time (37.5/week) based on operational needs

Must be available to work a variety of shifts between 6am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, as our Centre operates during these hours
