Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Manager to drive business growth within the UK Government and Public Safety sector. This pivotal role focuses on developing and executing a strategic sales plan for key accounts across Government, Defence and Blue Light Public Safety Services. You will be responsible for building a robust pipeline, navigating complex government procurement processes, and establishing Zebra as the trusted partner for mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will possess a hunter mentality, strong networking abilities, and a deep understanding of the mechanics of selling into government frameworks.


Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to penetrate key government and public safety accounts, mapping organizational structures and identifying key decision-makers.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with senior stakeholders, influencers, and partners within the target sector.Complex Sales Cycle Management: Lead and manage the entire sales process for large-scale, complex opportunities, from initial prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closure.Tender and Bid Management: Take ownership of the government tender process, including responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and formal bids. Ensure all submissions are of high quality and strategically positioned to win.Pipeline and Funnel Management: Proactively identify, qualify, and develop a strong pipeline of new business opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including pre-sales engineers, marketing, and product management, to create compelling and customized solutions that meet the unique needs of government clients.Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and government policies to effectively position Zebra's portfolio and identify new market opportunities.
Qualifications:

Proven track record of success in a strategic sales or business development role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience selling technology solutions.

Demonstrable experience selling into the UK Government, Defence, and/or Public Safety (Blue Light) sectors is essential.

In-depth understanding of government procurement processes, frameworks and the associated partner network, and tender procedures.

Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage at senior levels of government.

Strong business acumen and the ability to manage complex, multi-year sales cycles.
