Account Executive - POP Displays

The Opportunity: 
The Account Executive, Point of Purchase (POP) Display, is responsible for proactively developing new clients and generating all new business opportunities. This role is dedicated to building a robust pipeline, driving outbound prospecting, and ensuring that revenue targets and strategic company goals are met or exceeded through the acquisition of new accounts.


The Account Executive ensures that the goods and services provided to new clients fully meet their needs and deliver measurable value.

This position includes a base salary plus commission.  

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock: 

Identify and develop sales leads through various sources (business/industry directories and publications, trade shows, web sites etc.); establish and maintain customer relationships and provide primary customer contactTravel as needed throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers; travel requirement fluctuates depending on need and may encompass 100% of the Account Executive’s time in certain situationsMake presentations to existing and prospective clients generating new and additional businessPartner with clients to assess marketing and promotional needsWork with internal resources including Design, Estimating, Project Management, Production and Fulfillment to initiate and complete projects and ordersInitiate programs as required using SWR MD's proprietary front‐end systemsInvestigate and resolve customer problems.Do regular “store checks” to assess the quality of finished product in the marketplace and analyze promotional effectivenessPrepare various sales and business activity reports, and expense reports


What you need to succeed: 

High school diploma or GED minimum; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Prior knowledge of Point of Purchase display industry or a related sales field.Three or more years of industry experience or experience in a related area with a high volume of salesAbility to develop presentations and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Account Executive must be familiar with field concepts, practices and procedures, and use knowledge of Smurfit Westrock capabilities to develop customer solutions within Smurfit Westrock’s ability to execute those solutionsPosition relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
