We’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.
As the Account Executive is a strategic sales professional that’s highly skilled at finding ways to drive exponential growth in current direct and distributors accounts to identify and close new business. Works across multiple stakeholders including c-suite, expediting complex decisions to quick wins. Self-starter, develops and deploys best practices, identifies new customer insights to drive business, highly accountable, and delivers above expectations. The Account Executive operates as primary account management for all direct Abbott customers, drives the distributor sales teams to develop new business and increase revenue at the installed base. This core job is Jamaica based and includes managing and growing business in North & South Caribbean territories to increase market share in a profitable way. The Account Executive serves as the primary liaison of Abbott brand to all customers in these regions.
What You’ll Do:
Focus on identifying and closing new business as well as value expansion. Develop scenario and contingency plans that ensure achievement of results under changing conditions and situations.
Move customers through contract life cycle and from shared to owned Abbott Core Diagnostic accounts through value expansion.
Drives customer loyalty (resolving customer issue, NPS, Executive & Operational Customer Business Reviews)
Executes distributor business management under distributor playbook.
Drives the distributor sales team to develop new business and increase revenue at the installed base
Ensures that distributors in the countries comply with the sales strategies of the division, meaning complying with the distributor's sales and margin plan.
Actively participates in closing deals execute programs that grow revenue and market share.
Build strong relationships at all levels within the distribution channel and direct customers.
Renew business early or extend contracts to block the competition and create value for every customer to improve utilization (Value expansion).
Develops and executes existing account plans to ensure customer satisfaction and drive value expansion opportunities.
Elevates all distributors and customer challenges immediately as needed in partnership with the service organization.
Works closely with Marketing, Finance, Legal, Office of Ethics and Compliance and Operations to focus on Abbott solutions and assure brand loyalty within the distribution channel.
Core Job Roles & Responsibilities
1. Lead North & South Caribbean) Direct customers and distributors sales Team to grow the region in a profitable manner.
2. Responsible for day-to-day customer and distributors management on including management of Allocations / Backorders, Ordering / shipments, and Customer requests
3. Distributor t Business Management under distributor playbook.
4. Monitor Distributor Performance and Contract Compliance
5. Monitor contract Compliance at direct customers.
6. Maximize sales and margin through the distributor network and direct clients.
7. Driving customer loyalty (resolving customer issues, NPS, Executive & Operational Customer Business Reviews).
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum 5 years sales experience in health care industry. (Diagnostics, Medical devices, laboratories and hospitals).
Sales experience in diagnostics is preferred.
Good Communication skills
Willing to travel 50% of the time
Experience in capital sales and/or multi-stakeholder environment: developing and selling customized solutions to senior level/c-suite executives
Innovation and Change Management brings new ideas forward and drives them through organization.
English fluency is mandatory.
Strong business planning process.
Experience in Excel, Power point, Microsoft Office and CRM skills (Salesforce.com and CRM skills (Salesforce.com and Power BI).
Preferred:
Education in Biology, Biomedical is preferred.
