**Job Title: Access Control Technician** **Job Description**
The Access Control Field Service Technician is responsible for installing and servicing low voltage security systems in both new construction and retrofit/aftermarket commercial and light industrial environments. This role is crucial for delivering top-notch services to our customers by managing new installation projects and maintaining existing systems.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install and service low voltage security systems in new construction and retrofit/aftermarket commercial and light industrial environments.
+ Program security, access control, and camera systems.
+ Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades at customer sites.
+ Collaborate with the project team for site planning, compliance, inspections, and system commissioning.
+ Act as the technical liaison between customers and system hardware and software manufacturers.
+ Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers by delivering outstanding service, training, and support.
+ Complete service reports and documentation within project deadlines.
+ Provide assistance to other Field Service Technicians as needed, promoting a supportive team environment.
+ Terminate and install end devices such as card readers, motion detectors, glass breaks, electric locks, and cameras.
+ Dress and terminate security panels within an IDF room.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and installing systems.
+ Technical proficiency in low voltage security systems.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues independently.
+ Commitment to delivering outstanding service, training, and support.
+ Timely completion of service reports and adherence to project deadlines.
+ Willingness to assist colleagues and foster a supportive environment.
+ Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled settings and handling physically demanding tasks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Familiarity with NEC standards/electrical codes is preferred.
+ Comfort with aerial work (ladders/lifts).
+ Advanced troubleshooting skills.
+ Electrical certifications are a plus.
+ High school diploma or GED typically preferred.
+ Ability to read blueprints and apply basic math for accurate installations.
+ Strong safety awareness and compliance orientation.

**Work Environment**
This position operates on a day shift with rare overnight stays and occasional Saturday work. Technicians must be able to work at heights and in all types of weather conditions. Physical requirements include the ability to lift bulky/heavy materials overhead.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $65520.00/yr.
