Accelerating Action for International Women’s Day 2025

At eXPD8, we believe in the power of action. As retail specialists, we ensure that brands connect with customers, but we also recognise that progress—whether in business, society, or gender equality—requires intentional, sustained effort. This International Women’s Day, we’re standing with the global community to #AccelerateAction, forging a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

International Women’s Day has been championing women’s rights since 1911. Yet, many of the challenges faced well over 100 years ago persist today. The fight for gender equality is far from over, and it’s up to all of us to push forward faster, stronger, and with greater impact. At eXPD8, we know that meaningful change happens when we work together, just as we do every day in the retail industry.

Taking Action for a More Inclusive Future

We’re committed to fostering an environment where women thrive—whether on the shop floor, in field management, or in leadership. Our flexible, inclusive, and supportive approach to employment means that women across our business have opportunities to develop, lead, and innovate. But we know there’s always more to be done.

We asked some of our colleagues how we can accelerate action for gender equality, and here’s what they had to say:

“IWD is an annual reminder of the progress made and progress still to be made. It’s everyone’s responsibility to speak up about injustices, recognise their own biases, and actively work to remove historic barriers to entry to and progression within the workplace. That is the only way we will achieve true gender equity. I’m proud to see this occur naturally on a daily basis within eXPD8.” — Hayley Perry

“International Women’s Day is a powerful reminder that inclusivity is not just a choice but a necessity. It celebrates the achievements of women while acknowledging the diverse voices that contribute to our shared progress. Embracing inclusivity means recognising and uplifting every women’s story, ensuring that all are heard and valued.” — Nina Best, Finance Manager

“As a senior leader at eXPD8, I feel fortunate to work in a company where my voice is heard, my contributions are valued, and opportunities are based on merit. But I know this isn’t the case everywhere. Many women still face barriers that hold them back, and that’s why we must continue to #AccelerateAction. I have two teenage daughters who are passionate about inclusivity and I’m inspired by the confidence their generation has in standing up for what’s right. They challenge the status quo, call out inequality, and push for change in ways that were less common when I was their age. It’s a reminder that progress isn’t just about what we do today, but about shaping a future where fairness, respect, and equal opportunity are a given for everyone. At eXPD8, we’re committed to being part of that change, ensuring every voice is heard, and every person is empowered to succeed, regardless of gender. We all need to play our part – step up, speak out and take action to continue to make true progress for everyone.” — Suze Anderson, eXPD8 People & Communications Director

“On International Women’s Day, I’m grateful to work in a business that supports women—where I don’t have to choose between being a Mum and having a career. Flexibility, trust, and opportunity make all the difference. More workplaces should empower women to thrive in both!
