We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Absence Management Specialist to oversee ADA accommodations and related leave processes. This role requires close collaboration with employees, HR, legal teams, and third-party administrators to ensure the effective administration of FMLA, STD, LTD, and corporate leave programs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, employee-focused, and committed to maintaining compliance while continuously improving policies and procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister ADA accommodations, including return-to-work scenarios, pre-employment assessments, and post-employment accommodations not related to leave.Coordinate and conduct Fitness for Duty evaluations.Serve as a liaison between employees, HR, legal, and third-party administrators for all leave-related programs (FMLA, STD, LTD, and corporate leave).Maintain and enhance SOPs, policies, and compliance documentation with a customer-centric approach.Provide clear, empathetic, and consistent communication and support across all organizational levels.Manually track and manage 110–150 active cases using Outlook task management, while supporting future system implementations.Required QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in ADA accommodations, absence management, or disability services.In-depth knowledge of ADA regulations, including return-to-work and pre-employment assessments.Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of concurrent cases with accuracy and professionalism.Experience with manual tracking tools such as Outlook task management.Strong understanding of insurance and third-party administrator processes.Proven success in developing and improving operational processes.Solid HR foundation with a focus on employee experience and communication.Exceptional organizational and time management skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a mid-sized manufacturing environment.Multi-state compliance expertise.Familiarity with Fitness for Duty evaluations.Working knowledge of FMLA, STD, and LTD programs.Ability to navigate sensitive conversations with discretion and confidence.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
