A/P Specialist
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description The Accounts Payable Specialist supports a high-volume, largely manual Accounts Payable environment by monitoring shared mailboxes, retrieving vendor invoices, and processing both PO and non-PO transactions. This role ensures the timely and accurate processing of approximately 1,000–1,200 invoices per month and requires accurate application and coding of Canadian indirect taxes to ensure compliance with Canadian tax requirements. Responsibilities + Monitor shared mailboxes and retrieve vendor invoices. + Process both PO and non-PO transactions. + Match PO-based invoices in Syteline. + Coordinate coding and approvals for non-PO invoices via Outlook. + Resolve purchase order discrepancies. + Reconcile vendor statements. + Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices. + Apply and code Canadian indirect taxes, including PST, GST, and HST. Essential Skills + Invoice processing. + 3-way match. + Vendor maintenance. + Experience with Canadian tax (GST, PST, HST). + Ability to work within spreadsheets and create simple formulas in Excel. + Proficiency within a large-scale ERP such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, SyteLine, Infor, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics. Qualifications + 3+ years of experience processing over 200 invoices a week. + 3+ years of experience matching purchase orders to invoices. + 3+ years of vendor maintenance experience. + 3+ years of experience coding Canadian tax filings. + Familiarity with SyteLine is a plus. Work Environment This is a 100% remote position with the supervisor located on the East Coast. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
