Job Title: A&P Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled A&P Mechanic to join our team, specializing in the maintenance and repair of aircraft engines and related components.

Responsibilities

Disassemble, clean, inspect, and assemble components in the Prime Turbines Butler HSI/RP shop.Track and verify priorities, scheduling, and shop output, reporting findings to the Site Manager daily.Ensure the use of proper equipment and safety practices.Communicate and coordinate daily maintenance schedules and special requirements with team members.Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring equipment is adequate and safety instructions are followed.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.Utilize computers to develop a working knowledge of all Microsoft applications.Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to provide progress updates.Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs.Operate hand tools, machining lathe, power tools, and measuring instruments.Read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts, and schematics.Lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.Ensure manual dexterity required for technician tasks.Provide own hand tools; special tooling supplied by the company.

Essential Skills

A&P License is required.Five years of aviation-related experience and/or training.Experience with engine repair, aircraft maintenance, engine overhaul, and turbine engines.Knowledge of PT6A engines.Basic personal computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to read and interpret aircraft diagrams and schematics.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Pratt & Whitney engine experience is a plus.High school diploma or equivalent.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.Good problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Butler, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
