Job Title: A&P Mechanic
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled A&P Mechanic to perform installations of Bell, AA, and other aftermarket kits, as well as scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Bell aircraft. This role involves major and minor repairs and alterations to aircraft structure, including sheet metal and composite repairs and fabrications. You will also be responsible for aircraft disassembly and reassembly, post-maintenance flight test duties, and fabrication of mounting provisions for avionics installations.

ResponsibilitiesInstall Bell, AA, and other aftermarket kits on aircraft.Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Bell aircraft.Conduct major and minor repairs and alterations to aircraft structure, including sheet metal and composite repairs.Disassemble and reassemble aircraft as necessary.Perform post-maintenance flight test duties.Fabricate mounting provisions for avionics installations.Follow installation instructions, maintenance manuals, and blueprints accurately.Troubleshoot and solve routine problems as needed.Work under limited supervision and assist/train junior mechanics.Ensure quality and timely completion of aircraft to meet schedules.Work overtime as required.Utilize personal tools required for assigned jobs.Essential SkillsA&P mechanic license/certification.Two or more years of commercial helicopter maintenance experience on Bell helicopters.Experience in FAA 145 Repair Station is preferable.Ability to perform maintenance on airframe and engine, including removal and replacement of engine and major airframe components.Proficiency in sheet metal repairs and fabrication of sheet metal and composite parts.Capability to troubleshoot and solve routine problems.Ability to read and understand installation instructions, maintenance manuals, and blueprints.Must be able to measure, drill, and modify aircraft structures without causing damage.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Bell helicopters such as Bell 412, Bell 407, Bell UH-1, UH-60, AH-64, and others.Training records for types of Bell helicopters worked on in the past.Ability to work as a team member to ensure quality and timely completions.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Must purchase or own tools required for the jobs assigned.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position operates in a dynamic aviation environment from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. You will be required to sit, stand, crawl, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces as needed. The ability to stand for the duration of your shift and lift up to 25 lbs is necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
