**Job Title: A&P Mechanic**
$50-$70/hr
Base rate plus weekly perdiem.
**Job Description**
The A&P Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on customer aircraft. This role requires documenting all work performed in accordance with the appropriate manuals and regulations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
+ Document all work performed as per the appropriate manuals and regulations.
+ Operate ground support equipment as required.
+ Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
+ Assist with fueling and de-fueling of aircraft as needed.
+ Assist with engine removal and installation as needed.
+ Assist with aircraft component repair as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ A&P license
+ At least 4-5 years of experience working on aircraft, or 1-2 years working on corporate jets.
+ Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
+ Effective communication skills in both written and verbal form.
+ Ownership of a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control.
+ Ability to work unscheduled overtime including non-scheduled workdays and holidays.
+ Ability to work in seasonal or inclement weather.
+ Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge if applicable.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience on corporate jet aircraft, military fixed-wing, or commercial aircraft is preferred.
+ Basic PC skills are preferred.
+ Ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.

**Work Environment**
This position operates on a second shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, and a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday where you work 36 hours and are paid for 40. Be prepared to work in a variety of weather conditions.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $51.00/hr.
