42/hr Maintenance Controls Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** As a Controls Tech II, you will be responsible for supporting the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within a fully automated Distribution Center. You will mentor technician associates and use your technical knowledge and skills to diagnose electrical controls issues to a component level. Your role involves programming basic changes to PLC Controllers and troubleshooting communication issues with devices connected to the MHE network or other networks. Additionally, you will oversee the operation and diagnosis of all chill water plant systems, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, HVAC, and water treatment. **Responsibilities** + Ensure effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems. + Diagnose Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System-related error conditions and repair them appropriately. + Oversee maintenance, modifications, and system upgrades of Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System controls. + Assess the efficiency of materials handling equipment and automated picking systems and define necessary modifications. + Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure continued productivity with warehouse operations. + Maintain CMMS/EAM system on repairs required and performed on equipment in the Distribution Center. + Manage the inventory of spare parts. + Willingness to work extended hours, as needed, to meet productivity goals. + Perform related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance repair skills. + Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting. + Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems. + Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, IPB diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams. + Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues. + Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) preferred. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience. + Ability to test equipment and instrumentation systems including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and water treatment chemicals. + Working knowledge of computer systems and personal computers. + Experience with MS Office and MHE software such as RSLogix, Sort Director, GSMi, IPoint, Flex Sort. + Technical knowledge and skills in diagnosing electrical control issues to a component level. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy comprehensive benefits including MDV and life insurance, child care assistance, a 401k with match, stock purchase options, and generous PTO. The shift is from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, Sunday to Thursday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Kansas City, Missouri. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $81120.00 - $88400.00/yr.
