**Job Title: 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice**
**Job Description**
Under close supervision, the 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice assists in the testing and maintenance of site/field equipment. This role involves the installation, rearrangement, and removal of equipment and associated wiring at customer sites or company locations. The apprentice will also help test, move, repair, and adjust equipment related to trouble reports and perform routine testing.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist in field construction inspection and testing to ensure compliance with NETA specifications and sound construction practices.
+ Report inspection activities and maintain records of inspection checklists.
+ Prepare equipment for testing under the direction of the commissioning lead.
+ Support the commissioning lead in operating load banks and equipment with proper PPE.
+ Report testing activity results and status updates for scheduling purposes to the Lead Test Technician.
**Essential Skills**
+ Basic knowledge of test instruments
+ Experience with electrical, conduit, pulling wire, installation, construction, wiring, and blueprint reading
+ Proficiency in using computers, iPads, live data entry, and barcode scanning
+ Ability to wear proper PPE including Arc Flash Suit
+ Ability to work at heights and lift up to 40 pounds
+ Ability to stand for long periods
+ Fluency in English
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 2-3 years of experience with a High School diploma
+ 3rd year apprentice or higher

**Work Environment**
Work in a pre-fabrication environment with heating, but no air conditioning. The schedule consists of 48 hours minimum per week, with a workweek of four 10-hour days and one 8-hour day (Monday-Thursday 5:30 AM-4 PM, Friday 5:30 AM-2 PM). Required PPE includes steel-toed boots, a hard hat, safety vest, and safety glasses. All necessary PPE, except for steel-toed boots, is provided during orientation.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ruther Glen, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
