Job Title: 3rd Shift Plating Prep & Solder Dip OperatorJob Description

Join our team as a 3rd Shift Plating Prep & Solder Dip Operator, where you will perform multiple plating techniques, including passivation, electropolish, special cleaning, DS9 etching, ionic testing, and various layer stripping on mission-critical components and assembled parts. You will use a variety of tools and equipment to ensure the highest standards are met. Initially, training will be conducted on the 1st shift for 60 days, after which you will transition to your chosen second or third shift.

ResponsibilitiesRack and wind battery covers for plating using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line.Cap, back-strip, and solder dip parts according to required specifications.Collect all materials and equipment needed to begin the plating preparation and solder dip processes.Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately prepare parts for plating.Achieve applied and earned production rates to standard.Perform basic inspections according to visual standards.Complete preventive maintenance requirements and alert engineering and maintenance personnel to needed repairs.Perform continuity checks to ensure correct wiring techniques and identify rack issues.Complete work with strict adherence to work instructions and detail sheets.Complete required production documentation and perform ERP system transactions.
Essential SkillsExperience in production, assembly, plating, and soldering assembly.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.Familiarity with using a variety of tools and equipment for plating and soldering processes.Ability to perform basic inspections and preventive maintenance.Experience with ERP systems.
Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work independently and follow detailed instructions.Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing organization with a production line environment. You will work either the second or third shift after completing a 60-day training on the first shift. The position involves using various tools and equipment, ensuring a dynamic and hands-on work experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of NA, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
