Job Description

As a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician, you will handle both emergency work and preventative maintenance. This role operates on the 3rd shift from 11pm to 8am, with a 30-minute lunch break. Expect an hour of overtime each day and work every other Saturday, with overtime compensated at time and a half. Anything over 8 hours in one day will be considered overtime.

Perform emergency and preventative maintenance on equipment such as baggers, pipes, augers, conveyor belts, food fillers, sealers, freezers, and ink jet printers.Troubleshoot electrical issues and maintain the mechanical integrity of production equipment.Work directly with hydraulics and pneumatics, repairing cylinders and solenoids using blueprints.Assist in reducing production downtime caused by mechanical failures.Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance measures on all assigned plant equipment.Assist mechanics with machine repair and equipment troubleshooting.Support 1st shift production departments for timely setup.Utilize maintenance shop equipment safely, including drill presses, lathes, and pneumatic tools.Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned.Handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs, and bending and twisting as necessary.

Essential Skills

Experience repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.Strong electrical repair and troubleshooting skills, particularly with 480volt/3phase systems.Industrial maintenance experience with conveyor systems.Excellent attitude with a team mentality and positive outlook.Strong attendance and reliability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in food manufacturing maintenance.Additional PLC experience is a plus.

Work in a clean and well-maintained food manufacturing facility that meets all FDA requirements. The workplace spans approximately 400,000 sq feet, with 80% temperature controlled at 55 degrees, some coolers at 35 degrees, and freezers at 0 to -10 degrees. The team environment is strong, with colleagues supporting each other and no special PPE required beyond standard steel-toed boots with liquid resistance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67600.00/yr.
