The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the teardown and rebuild of all manufacturing equipment. This role involves using hand and power tools to disassemble food manufacturing equipment for the sanitation team to clean, then rebuilding the equipment to specification. The position requires welding and fabricating skills and experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Tear down and rebuild manufacturing equipment using hand and power tools.Ensure equipment is disassembled for cleaning by the sanitation team and then reassembled accurately to specification.Perform welding and fabricating tasks as required.Troubleshoot and maintain equipment using mechanical and electrical skills.Work with VFDs to control the motor's power supply, including ramp-up and ramp-down processes.Essential Skills
Experience with mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, gears, and pneumatics.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and mechanical assembly.Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of GMPs.Experience with VFDs.Understanding of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).Ability to work efficiently on 3rd shift.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position operates on the 3rd shift, from Monday to Friday, 9 PM to 6 AM, with occasional Saturdays. The facility, although an older building, is maintained to a high standard with new, clean, and organized equipment. Employees work in colder temperatures throughout the building.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
