While working at Caterpillar Inc., you will work in an environment that supports excellence. You will lead your team in efforts to coordinates, oversee and monitors activities within the Fabrication Department.

In this role you may be expected to:

Coordinate, oversee, and monitor activities in a fabrication value streamProvide input on schedule/build adjustmentsTrain new and develop existing employeesLearn basic CNC machining operationsPosition heavy fabricated metal components in fit-up jigs and weld fixtures utilizing overhead and jib cranesOperate robotic and manual weld machinesInspect own work quality utilizing weld gages, tape measure, and attribute gagesConduct in station repair on defective welds utilizing carbon air arc process, grinders, etc.Clear common robotic welding system faults in all qualified workstations.Complete routine maintenance (wire change, tip/nozzle change) in all qualified stations

Basic Qualifications:

Heavy equipment manufacturing experienceIntermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Physical requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periodsWilling and able to perform repetitive operationsWilling and able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Top candidates will also have:

Welding experience (Highly Desired)Intermediate proficiency in MIG and Robot Welding (Highly Desired)Further vocational and/or college educationIntermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Intermediate proficiency in SAP softwareIntermediate proficiency with FreedomE log softwareTeam Lead/supervisory experienceAdvanced problem solving/troubleshooting ability and root cause corrective actionAbility to effectively communicate with various personality typesStrong analytical skills/High attention to detailStrong performance ratings and excellent attendance

3rd shift Schedule: *Sunday-Thursday, 11pm -7:10am
*Overtime as needed to support business needs.

Summary Pay Range:

$27.95 - $34.95
