### Job Duties Must be skilled in various welding processes including MIG and TIG. Experienced in MIG welding of steel tubing preferred. Operate manual welding equipment. Must be proficient in layout, tacking, welding, grinding and finishing. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to work both independently with little supervision and also within a team-based environment to accomplish all aspects of welding and fabrication. Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Position requires setup of chassis fixtures, reading assembly prints, and fitting of parts. Position will also include operating of all fabrication machines. ### Minimum Education Required Minimum 3 years’ experience in the welding industry with skills in both welding and fabrication. ### Minimum Experience Required Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize work and reliability. Strong understanding in blue print reading/weld symbols to accurately build products to specified tolerances. Knowledge in use of measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, conversions of fractions and decimals. Experience with circle track racing or race car chassis fabrication a plus. A firm knowledge with welding safety and OSHA requirements will be required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and lift up to 50lbs. Communicates with management, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve any quality issues. Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on designated equipment.
