2nd Shift Receiving Inspector
Job Title: 2nd Receiving InspectorJob Description

The Quality Control Inspector plays a pivotal role in supporting the quality department by conducting inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products, including product validation testing. This position is part of the 2nd shift, operating from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, with potential opportunities for overtime on Saturdays. We are seeking candidates with 2-4 years of experience, although those with 1-2 years of experience are also encouraged to apply.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in the inspection of product returns.Perform and document testing according to test protocols.Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for non-conforming materials and assemblies.Conduct and document incoming inspections in line with drawing specifications.Perform label and Instructions for Use (IFU) inspections as required by inspection procedures.Review manufacturing-related paperwork in the Device History Record for accuracy and completeness.Utilize Visual Inspection Systems and other inspection tools such as tensile strength machines, calipers, and pin gages per inspection requirements.Coordinate with production personnel to conduct in-process and finished product inspections in a cleanroom environment, ensuring alignment with production schedules.Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential SkillsExperience with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.Physical/hands-on experience handling raw materials.Proficiency in quality control and strong documentation skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum 1 to 2 years of receiving inspection experience in a regulated industry.Blueprint reading skills.Ability to work with small parts, including inspecting various raw materials with a focus on catheters.Medical device experience preferred, but candidates with experience in other regulated industries such as Aerospace are welcome, provided they have worked with small parts.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing setting, where you will work 100% of the time in the Receiving room alongside a team of 8. The position requires operating in a cleanroom environment, adhering to stringent safety and quality standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
