Job Title: 2nd Shift Press Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Press Assistants on the 2nd shift. This position involves assisting in the operation of press machines, handling parts, setting measurements, and initiating the press process. You will also be responsible for preparing finished products for shipping and maintaining organized records of work orders.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in operating the press machine without the need for setup.Load parts, set measurements, and start the press process.Prepare finished products for shipping by placing them on pallets.Maintain organized tracking of work orders using paper records.Inspect parts for quality assurance.Utilize forklift skills to operate pull trucks or 'carpet pullers'.Essential SkillsMinimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing and machine operation.Ability to operate sit-down forklifts.Strong attention to detail and quality checks.Mechanically inclined with proficiency in machine operation and assembly.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrinting experience is preferred but not required.Experience with color matching and inspection in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with operating a tape measure and performing assembly tasks.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing environment with 2nd shift hours from 3:15am to 1:45am, Monday to Thursday. Training is conducted Monday to Thursday from 5am to 3:30pm for 4 to 6 weeks, and overtime is scheduled as needed. The facility can be slightly cold or hot, as it is not completely temperature-controlled. Dress code requires steel-toed/composite shoes, pants, and a t-shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
